My Darling Boys

I have the amazing privilege of living and working with these precious boys in a children's center with Iris Ministries in Maputo, Mozambique. Here's your chance to get to know a little bit about them . . .

Selso

Selso’s birthday is celebrated on September 28, 1996. We aren’t sure of his birthdate so we created one for him. His situation is not clear for us at this time. He was brought into our center one night from street ministry, having said his parents were both killed in a train wreck. He has since said he was living with an aunt. We are continuing to investigate. Selso is not outright defiant but has a bit of a “challenge authority” demeanor. He is quite smart, not just academically but seems to have had a variety of exposure a lot of our other kids haven’t had. He loves chicken and isn’t sure what he wants to be when he grows up.

About Me

My Photo
Laura Anderson
Maputo, Mozambique
A few excerpts from my life's To-Do list: 1. Find a dead body. 2. Return a lost pet to it's owner. 3. Spend a year of my life working at an orphanage. Well, it's been over six years now and I'm loving living one of my dreams, living and working with 30 boys, ages 4-9, in a childrens center in Maputo, Mozambique! I'm far from my home in the US but love my life here with my boys. (And two out of three of those goals ain't bad!)
